Documentary Photography
Photographers love to see the things around them. They might also be concerned with social justice and society because they love their community and hate when it's being put down.
MY COMMUNity
Take 12 portraits of your partners 6 inissde 6 outside. We were supposed to take phtos using shadows angles and to focus on the composition. we were recently looking at it the work of dauwood Bey who took phtos of his community. i find this work very inytersting. inspirational. I found the task quite fun and interesting . I liked the idea of using shadows and backgrounds new and amusing.i like taking photos outside as it allows us to use the background more and to play around with natural light and shadows, if i was given more time i would try different ideas and thoughts in my mind

i chose it because its different and looked,i found everything intersting and interging my initial thought were beautiful and the best, the personal experiences is top tier and very personal and its memory based and visual diary , photograph from south east black and white and mostly church photos . The second video is So much different also more interesting and what he is saying and describes the photgrsphy amd i like how he didnt edit the image aND LEFT It orginal and apparoches in a intersting by taking photograph and the position of the photograph and colour is top tier as he is older he is has more knowlege
i chose the video because it was 12 minutes long, interesting the thing she was practising that she had to stop thinking and taking pictures it appraches it in terms that her community is her daughter and environment the should think about creativity.my initials thought that they were a bit tedious but it got better during the thing .
i chose this bevause i like the pictures in the background, i found really intersting that the picture building stone to vreate her own space, they look for on a subject to keep the moment she photograph and represenyts images around her. my initials thought that it was gonna be interesting and really enjoyable.
Documenting my community
i took photos of my friends and we are really close and go outside together and have fun. i used my phone to take these photos. i like how the first image came out as i like that little blur aspects on it. i also like the first photo.if i had more time i would take multiple times and take pictures off other people as well.
Some of the reasons a photographer may want to document a community is that they love their community and want to embrace it and remember through documenting it, Dawoud Bey photographed his subjects by taking street pictures, the relationship here is that they are connected together and somewhat positive people in the pictures look diffrent some look nervous and some look at ease. Dawoud Bey to photograph his community is important becasue to show and embrace his community, his inspiration is the people he got intersted i his community he communiticated through his picture .
EVALUTION
i thought the picture were outstanding and i really enjoyed taking it as i was catching up with my old school friend, next time i would try to take pictures from diffrent angles and show a different perspective and try much much harder.

Evaluation
I chose this picture because it was different i thought and the background makes it even better, I think people would say many things but specifically a respectful picture bcecause then stance makes it look like they are respected. The thing worth remembering is the conversation before and after it aint always a bout the pictures i think’ I chose to create this becasue it was a one off a fun task and I learned a lot from this art specifically the context on how the rain sat beautifully.
Editing in Photoshop
1st i had to change it to black and white which created the base off the project
2nd i had to change the exposure
3rd crop to make most off the picture
auto tone to change the tone
save onto desktop to put on to weebly
TYLER MITCHELL
This picture is effective in terms off it shows a strong representation of black compassion everything is perfect not one flaw ,i think most people would agree with me and i think that because it speaks to people the photograph, the thing to remember is the bond in male visuals i have learned from this art that black is beautiful and strong.
Showing black living their lives is important, feelings and staments unified in this picture Tyler Mitchell pictures are more then pictures they are resemblance off his childhood.

One thing thats effective about this photograph is the contrast between the different colour and gradient everything is perfect down to the leaves on the floor . i think others would say they like the framing of the school and this because the colour of the school. is nice and colourful. the thing is worth remembering is the detail on everything , i chose this because it creates a sense of comfort and mystery i have learned many thing from this art such as the detail of the framing and many more.
wHAT can i do to make it better ? i would off made it a bit more intersting with the clothes |

A succesful photograph is the idea of a picture you are overly satisfied this is my favourite picture i took and i like it because of the naturistics ideas as the background and gives off the idea of a mystery as under the mask you cant tell who it is.
this photgraph is effective because it shoiws a range off colours and the eyes kinda ruined it most epople would say positive stuff and i believe that in many ways the the thiong remebring is the range of colours i have learned that life is a game and pictures express that

This photograph is of a person in the window. There is nothing in the frame apart from her framed by a door surrounded by bricks. I think that this image is a naturalistic image as it is a portrait. This photo reminds me of an image that I can see everyday near my home. This picture is effective because in my opinion someone being prolonged inside and dreaming of the outside world one. The broom seems out of proportion, because it looks smaller next to the many bricks. If I was in this photograph it looks like I would be looking out for someone, as she looks as if she is waiting for someone, she looks lonely. I think people would comment a bit off criticism but would mostly agree with me the thing worth remembering is the idea that shouts at the reader of imprisonment and sadness because of the frame, her expression and the way in which she is inside the door.
out off all the pictures i've taken this is the best as the lightning in the elvator is reflects on the fabric beautifully and the idea of the mystery as it could be anyone and how its a compacts a small space it is a masterpeice.
Display Strategies
i chose these pictures because they were all different but similar and each show a different aspect of work. I've chosen these photographs as they are all portraits which look different as they have different people but there is also some similaritieas including in them.
Final Selection
I chose these photographs as my final selection as I thought that they had a story behind them. I was inspired by the photography of Tyler Mitchell, who photographed his friends whilst they were having fun. I enjoyed this photoshoot as we were inspired by him by taking photographs of my friends and we dressed up in clothing which we either brought in or borrowed from the drama or art department. We had fun whilst taking the images and we were laughing a lot. There are also images which I took of my class mates around the school, I chose them to add in the series because they act as a contrast to each other but they have a similar theme.
Zoe Leonard
The series of images above were taken over a period of 10 years. In total there are over 400 photographs that were taken of shopfronts. Read this short article and view the images from the exhibition here. Choose a selection of 6 images and add them to your website.
- Write about why you choose these images. Are there similarities within the images?
- What are the differences with the images?
- What can you say about the colour within the shopfronts?
- Can photographing a series of shops document what may be happening within a community? Give reasons for your answers?
- What was the photographer trying to document with these images?
- How do these images make you feel?
- What would you like to ask the photographer about these images?
- Are the shopfronts in a row?
- Will you photograph the same type of shop, for example a group of newsagents?
- How will you frame the images? Will you take them in portrait mode, landscape or square?
- Will the shopfront fill the frame?
- Will you stand in front of the shop or to one side?
- Will the whole shopfront be visible in the frame or only part of the shop? You might focus on the lettering, for example.
- Will there be any people within your images?
- Will you photograph your shopfronts in the morning, in the afternoon or early evening once it starts to become dark?
- Add your photographs to your website and review th
i chose these pictures as they caught my eye instantly i couldnt help it but pick more than 6 the difference in the images are the different shops and colours the community is starting to wash away, the went to document how the shops are all closed and not in use and vandalised, these images make feel some what sad. i would like to ask the photographer how did you feel.
Final Outcome
Evaluation
the themes i explored were really close to home as some were pictures of the school where i've been most of my life i used materials such as mount board and cut small pieces out to make the stand a lot changed on the way as it got tough as the stand wasn't supporting enough and the pictures weren't top tier but i switched it around and finally finish this and everything went to plan i have exercised persistence the most in habits of mind the most challenging thing about working like an artist iis the voice in your head saying it doesn't look good and just ruins your confident.
My final outcome came out above my standards as i gave myself a low standard as i thought i wouldn't do well but it turns i was wrong i was hoping to create something to get something decent and it turned out just a bit better if i had more time i would try to get better pictures and more my person attribute to my work is i go all out when im passionate about something
