i would except to see in a landscape pictures involves daylight photography of natural ideas of sky and water and trees also in involves scenic settings.
my relationship with the natural world is quite odd as i've never really payed attention to it because it has never been a thought but i have always loved a landscape picture of a scenic setting , i would go to see a landscape at greenwich park people take pictures of nature as nature is really beautiful and looks very natural photographs 100% can change the way we see things as photograph make us see the world clearer.
i except to see in a landscape image a very detail image that makes you really question how beautiful a image can be .i see in my mind eye when i hear the world landscape is the sun in the corner or sun rise thats just looks so calm in a way .10 words that pop into my head when associated with landscape; sun, moon, sun rise, sun down, portrait, nature, details, natural, urban landscape, water, trees
google image search for the word landscape nature appears the most with trees and water and sun rise which all looks so beautiful and natural and a sight for sore eyes.
My ideal landscape would be going greenwich park at sun down and taking pictures at different angles or going o2 to go on cable carts at night and take landscape pictures of canary wharf. outside my bedroom i see canary wharf but when its night its really amazing light so bright buildings so tall it makes me want to achieve more in life, i have taken a landscape picture before it had looked alright but it wasnt good it was off Greenwhich park i took the picture because it had been sundown and it looked really nice and made me cry a bit.

- Where did you take the images?
- Why did you choose this area?
- Where did you take the images from high above, below, waist level.
- What do you like about these photographs?
- Which is your favourite photograph and why?

I see in Talmor's work an idea of escaping the idea of limitations and expressing endless possibilities words I would describe her photograph as inspiring as I respect how she expresses the word freedom Talmor is effective as she expresses her emotions i dont like how she focuses on one colur talmor should experiment other colours

I took most of these photographs on my way into central London and most of these were taken on the train so this was my view. The landscapes I'm interested in are urban landscapes, landscapes that are seen in the City. I live in London and most of the landscape that I see is urban.
The most effective thing about the photographs is the natural concept of some off the pictures as the tress is very detailed what doesn't work well would be I took quite a lot of pictures of buildings which isn’t bad but i could off took more natural pictures such as more pictures of just tress and grass i would think people would praise my work because the pictures are just beautiful whats worth remembering about the picture would be how calm the sky looks just looks so peaceful i have learned from exploring this works of art that how beautiful natural things such things like the tress and grass.

I was influenced by Dafna Talmor by the idea of Talmor resisting the idea of one point of views which inspires me to do go out of my comfort zone I took away from the film was Talmor is always overwhelmed when taking pictures which shows how much she is in love with her work my slides were constructed as I cut it up scratched it and over lay it with colorful film why I did this was Dafna Talmor inspired me to make space that wasnt there thats why I cut out triangle to make spaces process was to be different and cut up many pieces of the landscape picture and instead of putting it in the right place I put it in different places. To make people who look at it double think if I could improve it I would instead of taking the whole picture and over lay it in colorful film I would over lay it in some areas of the landscape.
the ideal of landscape
What is the purpose of a landscape picture? When you look at landscape images it's useful to ask some questions:
- What has the artist/photographer chosen to include in the composition. What might be excluded?
- What relationship might the artist/photographer have to the landscape depicted?
- What is the vantage point (high, low, straight on etc.) from which we are looking at the landscape?
- How distant or close are we to the landscape?
- What ideas, feelings or moods are communicated by the choices the artist/photographer has made about the way the landscape is represented?
artists chosen to include in the composition the position of object within such as the horse in the picture and the man, the relationships might the artists have to landscape depicted are might be staged the vantage point we are looking are low to see evrything the photo the distant is quite close as you can see the details on the horse.
'Bad' landscapes
the things that are effective in the picture it is quite out off focus what doesn't work so well that i only took picture of people feet or hands which was my objective i would think without telling them the context they would say it is terrible and not good pictures i think that because it is mostly bad pictures what remebering worth for these photos is that we struggled to take bad pictures i have learnt from this exploration of art is that i struggle to take bad pictures but i persevered and conquered it eventually
Constructed Landscape
this photograph is effective for example the area of space what doesn’t t work well we couldn’t hold it still other people would think its really good because it is cut out perfectly what is worth remembering is the struggle of keeping it still which made us laugh i have learnt from exploring this kind of art it is quite intersting what you can make out off the space.
Dionne Lee's Constructed Landscape
Dionne Lee used pictures of landscapes from magazine such as National Geographic. She videoed the work so she didn't need to glue the images to show she had made multiple constructed landscapes. She took her time with her work. She ripped up some images and replaced some pictures with others.

My response #2
Adding a soundtrack
I had firstly picked out pictures randomly from the selection available, some were black and white, but most were coloured. Then I had thought to myself, what can I do to make it more of a constructed landscape, I had then torn some picture. some were folded, others were placed precisely. Then I got an idea from how i wanted to do it before I came to the picture. i have overlapped pictures to make it different from the typical film. then i took pictures then to take it too the next level i took a video
Double Exposure:
I can see on the video I created that one video is going forward and one is going backwards which is quite unique and it isn't your normal type of video, I edited the video on adobe photoshop and made two videos and merged them together and made the colours darker and it was a really cool process. I like how the videos ones going backwards and one was going forward and it was a really cool aspect, i personally don't find anything i don't like.

Out of Focus Landscapes
This an urban landscape. I had made the these by using my phone i had deliberated made it out of focus by using camera , ae\af lock by using my finger as an object to make it blurry then I had took a couple pictures. my favourite picture is the one below as it was kinda funny how I did it by accident and didn’t realise until after also the picture is more successful My least was my picture on the right down below as it was my first one and I. didn’t t know how to position everything in my frame.
uta barth
Uta Barth, she has an idea/concept that most photographs use the camera as a pointing device, but she challenges the idea. Barth's work is always about perception she aims to get the views perception process in relationships to the pictures. Uta Barth inverts the notion of her background and foreground, Barth whole idea as said before "how can I make you aware of your own looking instead of losing attention to thoughts and what it is your looking " which is very interesting as she wants to make you really think about the picture in question. I enjoy her work as she traps me in what she intends to do, I look at the blurry picture and think that's why for quite some time I happen to find it so interesting. Here are some of my favourite photographs.
Ray Metzker's 'pictus interruptus'
Ray Metzker's view of his work is that he remakes the whole image and forcing the viewer to look deeper into the picture as comparison to a normal pictures one look you know what it is but with Ray Metzker's it is the complete opposite and I really enjoy that aspect. He makes these pictures as he enjoys the transformation the ordinary into a completely different thing something mysterious and almost making the picture unrecognizable. Here are a few favourites of mine because it just caught my eye and wanted to research it and figure what it is.
My response
This is my response to interupt piccsus the aspect I thought about to relate to was the idea of the interuput where i interrupted a picture and transform the ordinary to a image that isn’t t clearly seen, I used unordinary items that may not been seen at first and trying to make the picture unrecognisable like what Ray Metzerks. I did this because to show we want to complicate people relationship to nature.
This my favourite picture as I can see the influence of Ray Metzker's work in this picture and I've received many compliments. This picture asks questions about the way we might see landscapes. For example, does a landscape photograph have to be in focus? Does the landscape have to be impressive or beautiful? Does the landscape have too easy too 'read'? What I like most about this picture is that it isn't straight forward and is not your typical landscape.
Y
I think this photo is a successful response to 'constructed landscapes' first of all there is a clear obstruction where the photographers hand has interrupted the centre of the image. It is further distorted by the fact that the image is edited and rotated so it appears upside down, adding to the sense of peculiarity and making it harder to understand the image and its purpose.
Brea Souders' Vistas series.
According to Brea Souders she references her pictures as been portraited as the sense of disjointedness and solitude. Souders enjoys how the google maps images how the shadows are left by camera operators leaving fragments artifacts and human presence.
The 360-camera works has there is a camera on top of a car that take a 360 perspective and takes pictures whilst driving and on google maps you can take a trip and explore wherever I find it really interesting as you can go to a place at the comfort of your home, I have an issue with privacy as everything is public. Mistake that can happen is that pictures can glitch out and there are many on google maps example would be one the below. The internet affects our concept of landscape as there are many different landscapes, but most think it's just pictures of sunsets which destroys the narrative of landscape.

what i find surprising and unusual is that both look odd and both have no background
when i look at these pictures i feel amazed and inspired to do my own
if i was to attempt to make pictures like this i would make my landscape on a white paper and convert it to negative
i think the artists has removed parts of the landscape to show anything could be a landscape
i prefer the left picture cause it gives off more of a mystery vibes
i would remove the stem of the tree and just like there be branches personally thats one technique
what is missing between these two photos is backgrounds i can see from my visual a fire on the left and a somewhat tree on Nelissen photograph

how i made this masterpiece was as followed I had taken a setback as I had done it wrong but i then did it again and I got a white paper and black paper and started to cut some landscapes like building clouds, you can see from the picture upwards. I had taken scissors and started to cut it out in clouds shape and the building in a rectangular shape also glued them on when I was finished.

My response
So firstly i had made my first image by making a landscape by cutting out black images such as building on white paper then i had followed to the dark room and put the negative as i did after making the picture within the enlarger with a photographic paper and shine light for 10 seconds with the enlarger the out the negative in the develop for 1 minute , stop for a couple seconds whilst mixing the chemicals and then put it in the fixer after then after put it in the wash then after removing water.
then i repeating the experiment then before putting it in the developer dab it with chemicals then follow to put it in the stop then fixer the follow along with the washing area and erase the water then again hang up. i am extremely pleased with the picture but especially with the one on the right as it looks like an illusion.

themes i explored was constructed landscape a variety such as Making transparent picture then to also advance add a colour as well as then made Pictures not in order to make it irregular. First thoughts about the theme was that it was going to be a challenge but love challenge in order to make the best project.ideas and feelings change about it as you developed your work was that i may have not felt i was making an impact so i changed it and eventually everything clicked, i only used photoshop strictly other than taking photos of trees inside school on my phone and uploading them to photoshop. To start the process i used was copy and pasting each photograph of the tree on top of each other and changing opacity y to make it transparent. How i changed by work was by changing up the pieces making them out of their "original" placement whilst the pictures are transparent of each other, it came more sophisticated when having to isolate the tree by it self it too many tries and failed a lot.
The habits of mind i endured was disciplined as i kept disciplined even through the hard times, i have used my websites to record by progress by during the experiment screenshot how i did it and made me think along the way
i hoping to create something and it worked out even better i think i explored successfully the themes because i exercise
constructed landscape if i had more time i would like to try pin hole photography. My work is personal as i felt like i was expressing my feelings through my work. I hope my viewers understand the dedication that went behind it and the beauty behind it.
